Flower water color

In introduction to 2d art we were required to create a water color piece using different techniques that we learned throughout the course, just a few examples are a dry brush on dry paper, using salty using a  knife on the paper, and wet paper with a wet brush. We first drew and then painted our flowers by looking at real/fake flowers and mimicking what we saw. The green coloring leaked on the paper due to the way it was tilted.

Texture drawing

This piece is done with shading pencil, the objective was to create the appearance of texture even though it was a 2d drawing. I learned many new textures and how to draw them, such as the brick background and the curves on the shoes.

Color wheel

During this activity the goal was to successfully blend colors and create a variety of colors from just three, I learned about primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary colors. I saw that more than just the secondary colors come from blue, yellow, and red.

Shading- bag

For this assignment we used a paper bag as the base of the piece, then we added a meaningful item or saying that expresses us or has a meaning. I chose a tenth place ribbon and a quote to go with it that says, " No matter if you win or lose, the most important thing is to enjoy what you have." The ribbon and the quote play a role in my life because I'm used to not being as good as others, yet trying my hardest. I put a lot of effort into my 4-h career, but I don't always come out on top.

Shading

In this quick exercise (one of our first) we were able to show off our artistic abilities by building up shapes and scenes and then drawing them as realistic as possible. I learned that that my shading abilities are a lot stronger than anticipated.
